Driver: Parallel Lines is almost no chaotic as the last Driver game. Given how it really boosted Most of Driver 3 is, it's not really saying much, but still worth saying. Parallel Lines is a mostly competent game that may be most striking Grand Theft Auto clone to date. Considering that GTAIII was, in many ways, taking the first two games in which the driver had left it, maybe this is just a case of turnabout be fair play.
Either way, Driver: Parallel Lines is not broken, but it is almost completely energized and free of little things that make the sorts of games entertaining. The characters fall flat, the story is not interesting, and the game controls are often inadequate. When you add that some of the mission design is boring, you've got a game that looks good on paper but just did not add up to a decent game play.
